Pre-Nursery
The Key Elements
Listening
Listening is the first step to learn a language. We train students to listen with intent and accumulate vocabulary and expressions.
Speaking
A fluent English speaker must be able to articulate ideas with clear and coherent speech in a confident manner.
Identify Sounds
In order to spell by sounds, students must learn how to listen and identify sounds in a word quickly and accurately.
"All aspects of English learning are interlinked. Without a good foundation in listening, reading and comprehension, one would not have the ability to speak and write fluently. Grammar is the glue that holds the language together."

Testimonials
Aria joined SparkEnglish's comprehension programme when she was 4 to learn how to read and write. She is 8 now and she has learned so much in the last few years. She is very confident in English and excels at school.

It was like turning a switch on and my twins understood how to read and write with phonics within a few weeks after we switched to Spark English. They became avid readers within a few months.

My daughter always looks forward to coming to Spark English for classes. She used to be very timid in speaking in English. She is learning a lot of new vocabulary and is able to communicate in full sentences after just a few months.
Cynthia's MumK2
My son has studied in Spark English since he was K2. Now he is in primary 1, he is able to meet the demands of primary school easily because he has been writing full sentences since he was 4.5 years old.

My son’s spelling has improved a lot since he has studied in Spark English. Their teachers pay a lot of attention to my son’s progress, and would give me advice on how to help him at home. He is also more confident and comfortable speaking in English.

The teachers in Spark English are very good at identifying what areas my son needs to improve on. They are always happy to talk to us when we have questions about my son’s study. We can feel they genuinely care about my son.

My daughter used to have low confidence when it comes to writing and spelling. The teachers in Spark English are patient and have given her a lot of encouragement to build up her confidence. She is now eager to challenge herself and is very well prepared to go to P1 in September.
Bella's MumK3
My daughter couldn’t spell when she came to Spark English a year ago. She is now doing Phonics Advanced course and spelling is not an issue at all. Her pronunciation and accent is wonderful as well.
Haley's MumP1
What I like about Spark English is that they do not have a restricted view of what kids can do just because English is not their first language. They believe kids can read and write as well as a native speaker with the right support.
Ethan's MumP4
I found my son’s English a lot more natural after studying in Spark English. He stops translating Chinese to English when he writes. He also feels more confident to express his opinion.
Jason's MumP6
My daughter could read and write pretty well when she joined Spark English; but we could see how much she has learned in the past year. Her writing has become more interesting and she also builds a habit to check her own work. She loves reading so it is very convenient that she can borrow books from Spark English’s library.
